Anxiety looks different in everyone. If you have signs of anxiety that are excessive and persistent, then you might have a General Anxiety Disorder. A therapists can help you determine whether this applies to you, but common things to look for include:

  • Excessive Worrying: Persistent and uncontrollable worry about different activities or events, even when there is no obvious reason for concern.
  • Restlessness: Feeling on edge or unable to relax.
  • Fatigue: Feeling constantly tired or easily fatigued.
  • Difficulty Concentrating: Trouble focusing or finding that your mind goes blank.
  • Irritability: Becoming easily annoyed or angered.
  • Muscle Tension: Experiencing tension, tightness, or soreness in the muscles.
  • Bodily Discomfort: Rapid or irregular heartbeat, sweating or hot flashes, feeling light-headed or dizzy, teeth grinding and tight jaw, upset stomach or using the toilet more often.
