My Approach

I’m Lisaura, and I’d love to support you in your journey.

I blend talk therapy with the mind-body connection and movement to help you feel more at ease in your body, communicate with more confidence, and connect more deeply with yourself, others, and God.

My path into this work started with a deep curiosity about human behavior and a desire to understand why we do what we do. After studying Psychology in Puerto Rico, I followed my passion for movement and dance to Chicago, where I completed a Master’s in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling. That training continues to shape how I work, bringing together thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations to support meaningful, lasting change,

At the heart of my approach is the belief that we’re wired for connection and created for relationships rooted in safety, love, and belonging. I draw from attachment theory and somatic practices, while taking a whole-person approach that honors your mind, body, and spirit.

In our work together, we’ll explore not just what you’re thinking and feeling, but also what your body may be holding. Through conversation, curiosity, and (when it feels right) simple movement-based practices, I’ll support you in understanding your patterns with more compassion and less judgment—so you can begin to relate to yourself in a new, more grounded way.

If your Christian faith or cultural background is important to you, we can include that in a way that feels natural and meaningful. As a Latina and bilingual therapist, I also offer sessions in Spanish (or Spanglish!) so you can express yourself fully and comfortably.

Take your next step toward growth.
