Life can be distressing to manage and cope with. Maybe you’re feeling stuck and unable to enjoy your life. Do you feel you’re in a cycle of where joy feels elusive and hopelessness feels near? Perhaps you are feeling overwhelmed, angry or simply numb. Maybe you carry the burden of not being able to talk about experiences because you cannot bring yourself to say them to people. In all of these experiences, you are not and do not have to be alone. I help eliminate stigma and barriers to mental health, believing anyone has the potential to benefit from counseling.
So much of who we are comes from diverse experiences and interactions. We are part of a larger system which affects our inner wellbeing. I have experience working with individuals from many different backgrounds who experience transitions, trauma, depression, anxiety, and relationship and identity issues- helping all within an empowering and holistic framework. I welcome everyone into a space to tell their unique stories and find hope. Through a better understanding of your worldview and by integrating several different approaches, I collaboratively work with people towards healing and restoration. Also, I provide services in English and Cantonese- allowing you to tell your story in the language that best fits you.
Maya Angelou writes, “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” Keeping silent about something tragic bleeds into different facets of your life, your personality, your spirit, your soul. And if this is you, I want to encourage you to share your untold story. In bringing it into the light, the darkness dims and soon enough light prevails. Know that by coming as you are, into a safe and compassionate space, there is so much empowerment, so much freedom, and so much healing that can unfold. In taking small (and meaningful) steps, progression is possible. It would my privilege to come alongside you on your healing path.
